A good essay should have a good flow and the reader does not have to try really hard to figure out things. Everything should be well defined and organized so that the point of the essay is well explained or supported.

Another point about writing something good is to be very clear the point and what stand you are taking when you write. Be firm and provide necessary and strong points that support your belief and stand. Remember you are trying to persuade the reader to side with you.
