One of the recent study shows that students who have gone overseas to study abroad generally return with higher academic performance than others. Why do you think that's happening?

I wouldn't say exactly 'smarter'. I think because you are out in the real world or a different world, you open up your mind alot to see things in different perspective. Hence, this will broaden your knowledge base, thinking ways and how to go about adapting quickly and resolving situations.
