What if you don't meet the minimum GPA requirements for your preferred host institution selection?

I would apply anyways. A lot of times in studying abroad program, they will look at other criteria besides GPA. Even though you GPA might be slightly lower than their marked requirement, just go ahead and apply and they may consider your case. If you have other things that offset your low GPA, they probably will accept you.

If you have extra curricula activities, those do help on weighing whether you get accepted or not.
