1. The best way to prepare for tests is to study what you are testing for. Take the right course to help you.

2. If you are a nervous test takers, practice the real exam with less time than the actual exam requires.

3. Make sure you will be able to analyze what has gone right or wrong once you receive your test scores back.

4. If there are major differences between standardized test scores and school grades, find out why.

5. Get into a habit of studying over a period of time rather than "cram" the night before.

6. Listen carefully to all test-taking directions given by the instructors/administrators and ask questions if you do not understand.

7. Make sure you get plenty of rest the night before the exam.

8. Hunger can detract from a good test performance. Make sure you get appropriately the morning of the exam.

9. Always go into the test with a mentality of doing your best.
