A) Standardized testing gives teachers guidance to help them determine what to teach students and when to teach it.

B) Standardized testing gives parents a good gauge as to where their children stands compare to other children at similar age.

3) Standardized testing allows students’ progress to be tracked over the years.

4) Standardized testing provide an easier way for schools to compare students from different states and regions.

In a student's perspective, taking a standardized exam and performing well on it and offset and balance out a low GPA.

Another advantage is for each state's education board to monitor its state's education level. If too many people are passing the test, then they may evaluate and decides to raise the bar so that standard can be raised and be more competitive with other states.
