  • Overview
    Monitor and report the flow of cash as it relates to banks, endowments, investments, and loan activity. Manage payroll operations. Provide support to the Controller for the full reconciliation to the General Ledger of all capital calls, distributions, new investments, investment liquidations and income, endowment changes, accounts payable, payroll, and other cash transactions as necessary.

    Essential Duties:
    1. Assist in the management of cash as it relates to banks, endowments, investments, and loan activity. Process investments from State Street and provide daily balance monitoring. Process debt service payments and bond drawdowns when new loans are established, initiate or facilitate bank transfers, and assist in the processing of capital calls. Open and close bank accounts, maintain relationships with key operational bank contacts, process stop payments, void checks, and perform other operational needs with banks, as required. Monitor daily cash flows and provide daily cash reporting to the CFO and Associate Vice President, maintain current contacts and signatories on all bank and investment accounts, and develop short-term and longer-term cash forecast reports to assess liquidity needs. Support the Controller in the reconciliation of items above to the General Ledger.

    2. Provide oversight and management of the Payroll Manager and general payroll operations. Maintain position control processing to assist the College in effective review and containment of manpower expenses.

    3. Provide Green Book reporting, capital tracking and forecasting, and budget support. Perform budget preparation work, budget transfers, and other key Financial Service functions as may be required.

    Marginal Duties:
    1. Perform all other duties as may be required.

    Education and Experience Required
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution required. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Five to seven years’ in a treasury or financial analysis position or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Personnel management skills
    • Familiarity with payroll management
    • Excellent written and oral skills
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Good organizational skills
    • Strong reporting skills

    Physical Demands
    • Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
    • Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
    • Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard
