    Work Schedule FT/Reg (40 hours)
    This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm. Evenings and weekends may be required on as needed basis for Oakland University sponsored live and virtual events.

    Position Information
    Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor’s Degree (Management of Information Technology, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or closely related) or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience;
    Three years of live event technology setups: audio support, content display, staging, lighting and streaming experience;
    Three years of event technology support experience in hospitality, higher education or audio-visual staging company;
    Three years experience administering virtual meetings, conferences and webinars using streaming platforms; Zoom, WebEx, Google Meet, etc;
    Must be able to work evenings and weekends and maintain a flexible schedule that is aligned with scheduled university event activity;
    Ability to work with a variety of university personnel and event planners, in the design, execution and support of live and virtual events both on and off campus;
    Experience developing training materials for users and staff;
    Experience supervising or leading event technology support teams;
    Record of exceptional customer service;
    Dedicated, professional remote working environment with strong and reliable internet connectivity;
    Must be physically able to move equipment throughout campus, load and unload vehicles, and lift a minimum of fifty pounds;
    Strong written, oral and visual communication skills;
    A valid vehicle operator’s license and a driving record acceptable to the university are required.
    Desired Qualifications
    Website maintenance. Digital video and audio production skills. Digital image composition and creation skills utilizing computer software. Photography skills. Strong Microsoft skillset, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

    Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.

    To provide technical support for the increasing amount of live events and virtual events that are occurring at Oakland University.
