Job Description
Ashland University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Music. This full-time, tenure track 9-month position will begin August 2025. . The ideal candidate will have successful college-level teaching experience and the beginnings of a scholarly portfolio. Responsibilities include teaching the music history sequence, music theory sequence, aural skills sequence, plus other areas according to time and ability. This is primarily an academic position, but added competence in an applied area would be welcomed.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D., D. Mus., or similar degree in Music Theory, Musicology, Music History, or Music (ABD considered).
College-level teaching experience and the beginnings of a scholarly portfolio
