    Join an exciting role as a HR Business Partner (HRBP) on the L&S Faculty HR team serving more than 900 faculty within our college! Under the general direction of the Assistant Dean for Faculty HR, the HRBP serves as a consultative HR resource and liaison to units throughout the college regarding faculty positions. The person selected for this position will serve as the point of contact for Departments and Administrative Regional Teams (ARTs) regarding faculty recruitments, offer letters, emeritus status, joint governance, and other items pertaining to faculty.

    We are seeking candidates who are self-motivated, collaborative, innovative, and service-oriented for this important role. This position will be responsible for providing services that are equitable, inclusive, and promote a sense of belonging. This position will have the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively with the L&S HR team and key partners across the college to make a positive impact by developing efficient processes and best practices, resolving complex issues, ensuring compliance, and meeting overall organizational needs.

    Responsibilities:
    Interprets, advises, and serves as a consultative resource to schools/colleges/divisions on strategy, policies, procedures, statutes, laws, and other human resources services to ensure compliance in accordance to policy and law.
    10% Serves as a consultative Human Resources resource and liaison. Interprets, advises on, applies and disseminates complex policies, procedures, and options to leadership and employees; and recommends best strategies according to established objectives and goals
    30% Facilitates and processes complex transactions and programs according to established policies and procedures
    10% Audits human resources reports to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
    5% Develops and implements processes and procedures for one or many various HR functions such as employee trainings, recruitments, compensation, and payroll
    40% Receives and responds to inquiries in-person, via email, and through various communication mediums and relays information to appropriate entities
    5% Contributes to the development of strategic plans and directs staff implementation of initiatives in alignment with strategic goals

    Education:
    Preferred
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

    Qualifications:
    Required:

    1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to foster and maintain collaborative, and effective relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, and campus partners

    2. Experience using database, spreadsheet, and word processing software such as Microsoft Office, Google, and Adobe products

    3. Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting laws, rules, policies and procedures

    4. Experience working on projects/tasks requiring attention to detail

    5. Demonstrated ability to apply respect, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging practices throughout assigned responsibilities

    6. Ability to work effectively in a high-volume and fast paced work environment, both independently and as part of a team
