Lawsuit names A&M professor and lawyer

A Houston attorney and a Texas A&M finance professor used false information to raise more than $19.5 million from investors for a foreign exchange trading business, the Securities and Exchange Commission alleges in a securities fraud civil lawsuit.

U.S. District Judge Sim Lake on Friday issued a temporary restraining order freezing the company’s assets and appointing a receiver to oversee the business.
