PSU reworks ‘academic freedom’

Penn State’s academic freedom policy, which covers the sometimes sensitive issues of university governance and what is OK to discuss in class, recently received an update from the Faculty Senate and is headed to the university president for review.

The revisions to the policy, which was last updated in 1987, caught national attention and, in some cases, criticism.
