University of Indianapolis president stepping down

University of Indianapolis President Beverley Pitts is stepping down next summer at the end of seven years leading the school.

Pitts announced Monday that she believed it was the right time for new leadership at the private university of about 5,200 students. School Board of Trustees chairman Robert Wingerter says Pitts has done an outstanding job in moving the university forward.
