Cost of Princeton University arts and transit center increases as work begins

Princeton University revealed yesterday that work has already begun on the biggest building project in its 267-year history, and said the estimated cost has increased by 10 percent to $330 million and that construction will involve shutting down the Dinky rail station for a week this summer.

The announcement came a week after opponents of the plan to move the Dinky station lodged an appeal of the planning board’s decision to approve the university’s Arts and Transit project.
