  • As the University’s gateway for information, Woodward Library strives to work collaboratively with the University community to cultivate within students the information literacy skills required to succeed in academic and life pursuits.

     

    The Library supports the University vision in five ways:

    Collections – Acquiring, preserving, managing, and providing access to scholarly information in all formats

     

     

    Technology – Providing the technological infrastructure and support for information resources and services by

    • adeptly integrating technology into scholarly services

    •  utilizing technology to enrich teaching and learning

    •  making sense of information technology for users


     Teaching and Learning – Promoting instructional and educational outcomes through

    •  information literacy programs

    •  instructional collaboration

    • research consultation

    • reference services


    Scholarly Services – Supporting the University’s role as a repository of scholarly information by

    •  organizing unique collections of cultural and scholarly materials

    •  promoting new forms of scholarly communication and publishing


    Service to the Community – Providing access to the University’s information resources for the broader society
