  • The Hooley-Bundschu library is the information resource center for the Avila campus. It houses a collection of over 70,000 books and adds 1500 books, videos, and software applications a year. In addition, as a member of the MOBIUS library consortium, the library has online access to book collections from fifty-four academic libraries in Missouri. Last year, over 8000 books were checked out from the Avila Library. The library also houses many videotapes, CD-ROMS, and the entire ERIC collection on Microfiche.

The library also provides access to a variety of online databases through Avila's computer network.   Available online from the library website are databases such as EBSCO, LEXIS-NEXIS, GALE BUSINESS, CONTEMPORARY WOMEN'S ISSUES, CINAHL, and PROQUEST PSYCHOLOGY.  These databases and more are available in the library and from the Avila Proxy Server, which provides off-campus database access to Avila students and faculty.

In addition to books and databases, the library computer network provides students access to the Internet through the Local Area Network. The library lab contains twenty-five computers that are available for Internet access, word processing, e-mail, and curriculum-based software applications. The library incorporates a color copier into this network for students or faculty that need to print color copies of documents.
