  • Much of your life will be centered around the residence hall that you will call "home" when you become an East Central University Tiger. The residence halls provide students an engaging atmosphere where students can build strong, lasting relationships, share ideas, and enjoy the many activities that the residence halls provide.

    Mission

    The mission of the Department of Housing, Residence Life and Dining Services is to offer a safe and healthy living and learning environment that supports the development of the student academically, personally and spiritually through an engaging living environment that expands the learning experiences from the classroom to the residence hall. 

    Freshman Housing Policy



    East Central University is committed to student success. Integral to student success and a student-centered experience is involvement in student life. One of the best ways to become involved in student life is for students to reside in the residence halls. Research has shown that students who live on campus persist and graduate at higher rates, are more satisfied with their personal college experience and show more development than students who do not live on campus. In light of these benefits of on-campus living, all freshmen under the age of 21 shall live on campus for their first academic year. Summer sessions are excluded.
