  • Charles C. Sherrod Library is the central university library in the heart of the main campus.  This state-of-the-art facility is a great place to study and do research.  Filled with natural light, it has comfortable seating, a 24-hour study room, lots of network connections, laptops for checkout to students, used paperbacks for leisure reading, and a friendly and helpful library staff to assist you.

With the Millennium online catalog you can access the collection of more than 800,000 print volumes, plus extensive holdings of microforms, audiovisual media, maps, and government documents.  Don't want to leave the dorm or drive to campus?  The Virtual Library abounds with electronic resources available to all students, faculty, and staff from anywhere in the world via the Internet.

For students taking classes at off-campus sites, there are special extended campus library services, including a branch library at the ETSU at Kingsport.  On the fourth floor of Sherrod Library is the Archives of Appalachia, where you can enjoy views of campus from comfortable rocking chairs and explore unique research materials about the Appalachian region and ETSU.
