Fairfield University is a residential campus with approximately 2,600 full-time undergraduate students living on campus in residence halls, townhouses, and an apartment complex. Currently the University does not offer housing to graduate or part-time students.

The residential experience is an integral part of the Fairfield undergraduate experience. Living in residence teaches and fosters a sense of shared and collective responsibility - responsibility to one's self, roommate(s), floormates, and broader community. Residential life at Fairfield University seeks to be more than simply a place where students sleep, study, relax, and socialize. It seeks to be a place where learning is continuous and well-rounded.

The residential experience will challenge students to welcome, embrace, and develop relationships with students who are different from themselves. Numerous educational, social, cultural, service, and spiritual programs and activities are sponsored in the residence halls (and townhouse and apartment complex areas) to provided opportunities with opportunities for personal growth, development, and fun.
