Students who have been approved for accommodations and opened a file with the DRC may request accommodations by filling out and submitting the appropriate forms. It is important that students register for classes as early as possible so they can make arrangements with the DRC for accommodations.
Students planning to use accommodations must also request and deliver teacher notification letters to their professors. Students have the right to disclose or not disclose to instructors but instructors also have the right to be informed that a student is eligible for and has chosen to use accommodations in their classrooms. This is especially important because many times the instructor's cooperation is needed to make the accommodation successful.
Students will receive a "Disability Resource Center Student Manual" when they open a file that will guide them through the process of requesting services.
