A recent college survey asked students the same question and came up with these top five belongings students in the residence halls don't want to live without: iPod flashlight and radio a personal computer quick and easy food that doesn't require cooking (PB&J, anyone?) a T.V. Tour the residential campus options at UVM on YouTube Where do first-time, first-year students live? First-time undergraduate students are required to live in one of the university's residence halls for their first two years. Around 5,000 students are housed in 39 residence halls located on four geographic residential campuses (Athletic, Central, North and Redstone campuses). All residential options are within walking, biking or shuttle ride to all other parts of UVM's campus.
