  • Brandeis residence halls bring you all the comforts of home. Each hall in the North and Massell quads, where the majority of first-year students live, features: Lounges to foster socialization, study-group opportunities and programming A large community space with a big-screen TV and billiards and foosball tables Kitchen facilities equipped with community refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave and counter space Laundry facilities Hungry? Take a short walk over to the Stein, Brandeis' on-campus pub, for a slice of pizza or a burger and sweet-potato fries. Itching for a study break? Drop in to the famous Cholmondeley's Coffee House at the Castle — said to be the inspiration for the Central Perk on TV's "Friends" — for ice cream, coffee, conversation and student performances. Can't find something or need a helping hand? Ask one of the friendly professionals or students who comprise our Department of Residence Life.
