Library Mission Statement
The mission of The Grace Doherty Library is to support the curriculum of Centre College. To this end, the librarians shall endeavor to do the following.
To make available the materials that students may need for the courses they take and that faculty members must have to be well grounded in the courses they teach.
To provide access to remote sources of information, either through electronic access, interlibrary loan or document delivery.
To continue to develop and improve the traditional collection and electronic resources.
To continue to develop and improve traditional library services and electronic services.
To teach students to exploit the full resources of the library.
To maintain the library as a central place on campus for study.
The library staff will continue to work closely with the faculty, the student body, and the professional staff to achieve these goals.
