  • Tutoring Services

ASU Tutoring has two locations: Centennial Village Sky Room and Texan Hall Conference Room. Although these locations are in residence halls, the tutoring service is free to all ASU students.  Both sites are open five days a week, and offer help with anatomy/physiology, biology, chemistry, animal science, psychology, social work, government, history, and many other subjects.

Students needing assistance with writing or mathematics will be referred to the Writing Center or Math Lab.

    Your Tutors

All of the tutors are multi-disciplined, multi-talented undergraduate students who come highly recommended from within academic departments across campus.

    Student Expectations

ASU Tutoring offers broad-based study skill strategies and techniques to promote critical thinking and time management. Students are seen on a walk-in basis – no appointments are necessary – and individual tutoring sessions will last about 30 minutes.

To ensure each tutoring session is beneficial and productive, students should do their class assignments before visiting a tutoring center, whenever possible. Students should come prepared with all necessary materials (textbook, syllabus, class notes, writing material, etc.) and have specific questions prepared for their tutors.

These are a few things to keep in mind when you seek the help of tutors:

    • Tutors will not do your homework.
    • Tutors will not give you the answers.
    • Tutors will help you review your work.
    • Tutors will explain concepts, rules and methods that you do not understand.
