About Me (Summary)

Dr. Kiran Patil is experienced, well trained and well rounded Chemical Engineer with recognized research expertise in reactive separations, process modeling and simulation and industry implementation exposure. His significant academic and research contributions are multidisciplinary covering Chemical, Petroleum, Petrochemical Engineering, mathematical, and environmental sciences. The common theme that binds his contributions is experimental investigations, design of experiments, modeling and extensive application of Professional software in Chemical engineering such as Aspen Plus, HTRI and MATLAB® etc. He is having 20 years (as in 2014) of Teaching, Research, Consultancy, and Administrative experience.

He has published many papers in national and international academic journals, written four technical books, covering the syllabus of major Universities in India and considered as textbooks in syllabus of some Universities. He is working as examiner for many Universities and resource person in many national and international level conferences. He has delivered over 25 invited lectures at various academic Institutes.

He is working as Member, Faculty of Engineering and Member, BOS in Petroleum, University of Pune. Frequently interacting with Industry for consultancy assignments, and to interdisciplinary collaborations, visited many premium academic institutes, research and Industrial organizations for professional research and training, completed many major research projects funded by AICTE and BCUD, University of Pune and other funding agencies. He is Recognized Ph.D. Guide in Chemical Engineering, University of Pune. He is Editorial Board Member of six International Journals and expert reviewer for 15 International Journals. Currently serving as “Editor-In Chief” for International Journal of Petroleum Engineering and Technology.
